For decades, the Super Bowl has been the standard for two premier categories on television; drawing in the biggest ratings of the year and having the best commercials. Knowing that the Super Bowl will bring in the most viewership, advertisers go all out on their marketing – creating some of the most unique, creative, and heartwarming ads seen on television. However, Sunday’s Oscars featured some of the most creative and deeply layered messages seen in commercials dealing with social commentary, inspiration, and the creative arts that rivaled what appeared in this years Super Bowl.
In today’s world, we as consumers are constantly inundated with advertisements. Whether it’s on television, radio, digital, print or one of many other mediums, we can’t escape them. But are those advertisements having an impact? In a recent article by Marketing Week, titled “60% of Contact Created by Brands is ‘Just Clutter’,” they say emphatically, NO! Here’s how they came to that conclusion: they “questioned 375,000 people across 33 countries” and people responded that “60% of content created is poor, irrelevant, or fails to deliver.” So, lets think about this -companies are marketing their brand/product everywhere, but a majority of people think what is being done is irrelevant or poor.
Ringless Voicemail is the newest Direct Mail tool you didn’t know you needed. You can reach thousands of people in your database without lifting your phone or making a single call. The best part is – people wont be bothered with an actual phone call. They will simply receive a voicemail with your customized message that they can listen to on their own time.
These messages are equipped with trackable call back numbers that bring leads straight to you in no time. The average ROI with these campaigns can range anywhere from a couple cents to a few dollars per lead, whereas other campaigns of this nature can cost you anywhere from $30-$100 per lead!
Trent Morgan is our latest World’s Best Person to be honored on our blog. Trent joined us relatively recently and has been an incredible asset to the team. He’s knowledgeable, hard-working, and extremely savvy. It’s a well-deserved honor – and we raise our glasses to Trent as we bother him with obnoxious questions. Get to know him better below!

Anna Greeley was named M2’s World’s Best Person of the Month during our August staff meeting. As a relatively new member of Team Media, Anna has fearlessly stepped in and stepped up as an incredible asset to the agency. As our second media team member named Anna, she’s even tolerated and embraced her new nickname, AJ, short for “Anna Junior.” Despite the shenanigans, she’s taken it in stride and M2 is so grateful that she’s part of the team. To reward her, we will pepper her with stupid questions.

Good Golly Miss Melanie! We may be a little late documenting our celebration of this two-time WBP winner (last time she won, she had a different last name), but we didn’t forget to call her out! Much has happened with our Original Melanie (we have 2 Melanies in the office) since her last win. Marriage, a new dog, a new position at the agency…this girl has been busy! Let’s play some catch up while happy dancing for her second WBP win.
